I've finally been Humped

Hmm, interesting idea for a site. Of course, everything else gets subjected to formal-ish, critical reviews, so why not blogs...?

Can't help but react, though, against the suggestion of certain rules or expectations for what a blog should contain, or how often it should be updated... Why should it indeed?
Keep up the good, er, 'work'... when and only when you want...!

It's not too painful, is it? But AKR is right: you must post only when you want and when time allows. I'm almost a postaholic, which I was kind of criticized for by Lucky! So clearly you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.

Anyhoo: welcome to the humped gang!

Exactly. A blog is a personal thing and surely the whole point of it is to be creative and do your own thing but curiosity got the better of me.

as it did with some more of us, who instantly regretted it! cannot believe even you got less than the photo woman!

Hehe I wish I rode a vespa, I've always wanted one though and I have ridden one a few times in Italy. Does that mean I've gone down in your estimation? I entered a competition to win one last week but no luck as yet. To be honest even if I did I wouldn't have anywhere to park is as I live in a flat. One day though definitely.

ACT - The only thing that counts is whether or not people read your blog and return. All else is someone else expressing an their opinion and everyone has one. Critics are no different they attempt to gain consensus thinking that what they see is important and that others should see it the same as they do.

Exceptional works are often not appreciated by "those in the know" because they work on different triggers than the accepted norms.

Look at the mommy blogs. They spend time and money creating graphics and images that are "pleasing" to the mass but the content does not always compare with the graphics.

Your profile pic was what made me come 'round your place. Page opens- a pic of a Vespa. I immediately fell in love and bookmarked you for obsessive future returns. I also like the dialog that goes on in the comment field as much as I like the posts. As for posting more...sure it would be swell, but we all have lives and inspiration rules. I would rather see your quality writing, than new watered down drivel each day. You are one of my new favorite blogs, I mean, eh, your blog is, not you, but it is yer blog....eh, Coffee is ready! It is obvious I need it... Really, though....congrats on the hump.

Aww bless ya Camie, I knew what you meant ;-)

Thanks for drawing my attention the the 'mommy blogs' Travel, I've bookmarked them as a no go area. My eyes are hurting from all the pastel colours...
