An Italo-English north Londoner trying to write a novel about mice on ecstasy and getting more distracted by the second with this blogging malarkey.
i wish i could come visit your kitchen!
We buy the same tomatoes! Am checking out the recipe. Guessing some sort of goulash...
Haha, shouldn't have kicked off with the cat line, it's a tricky mental image to shift...!Otherwise, though... tempting, tempting indeed. What might you suggest as a veggie-friendly braising beef replacement... if, at all, anything?
Martha, anytime you're in the UK, you are welcome.ems, I got these because they were on special offer, but they are one of the best.aidan, er cat line? Huh?Veg alternative to beef, um tricky. You could always add extra peppers and more peppers.
Looks homey and warming, that goulash. I have no idea what's "supposed" to go in it, but your choices look very nice. Have a Hungarian friend who got really confused with a U.S. recipe calling for "paprika" since for him that's the generic word for that green vegetable in your photo. So he added a teaspoon of it...and yuck.
Aidan - big fat slices of mushroom. Lovely instead of meat.
